Planned Giving
Donating funds to save land (or donating land itself) leaves a lasting legacy and enhances our shared quality of life in Yarmouth on Cape Cod, which is rooted in the natural environment. If you are interested in donating land, contact us for a confidential conversation.

If you are interested in donating funds to advance land conservation, then you can contribute several ways. You can donate by check payable to Yarmouth Conservation Trust and mailed to Yarmouth Conservation Trust, P.O. Box 376, Yarmouth Port, MA 02675 or through appreciated securities. For the latter, we can provide the account and routing numbers. The federal tax I.D. number for the Yarmouth Conservation Trust is: 22-2761179.

Yarmouth Conservation Trust (YCT) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization. Donations to YCT are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.

Ways to donate:

  1. Donate unrestricted funds to support YCT’s general operating budget for use at our discretion for land conservation projects. This is the most needed type of contribution.
  2. Donate funds to specific YCT acquisition projects. E-mail conservation advisor Mark Robinson at compact@cape.com or call him at (508) 362 - 2565 for an update on lands in need of acquisition funding.
  3. How to Make a Bequest to Yarmouth Conservation Trust for the benefit of Yarmouth Conservation Trust.

For some land conservation supporters, a bequest is the most realistic way of making a significant gift to Yarmouth Conservation Trust (YCT). You may provide for YCT by:

  • creating a new will,
  • adding a codicil to your present will,
  • including Yarmouth Conservation Trust in your revocable trust,
  • or designating Yarmouth Conservation Trust as the beneficiary of your retirement plan or insurance policy.

To ensure that your exact intentions are carried out, wills, codicils, and trusts should be prepared by and with the advice of your attorney. Mark Robinson (ph: 1 (508) 362 - 2565 or e-mail: compact@cape.com), YCT conservation advisor and Executive Director of The Compact of Cape Cod Conservation Trusts, is available for additional information on the various methods of designating a bequest to Yarmouth Conservation Trust or for guidance in planning a gift.

A bequest or beneficiary designation to Yarmouth Conservation Trust should be made payable to the “Yarmouth Conservation Trust” which is the official name.
